TECH KNOW LIONS
Our Robotics Club provides a fun and hands-on opportunity for students in grades 5-8 to explore all four areas of STEM. This club also encourages teamwork, problem solving and leadership!
What is the Robotics Club?
* Groups of 3-5 students build a VEX IQ robot from kits, with guidance from coaches.
* Robots are designed and built to play a game (such as throwing a ball through a hoop) and then compete against robots from other schools.
* A participation fee is charged.
* As students' skills increase, they have the opportunity to learn coding to program their robots, rather than using a controller to operate the robot.
* The flexibility of the VEX IQ program allows students of all skill levels to be successful and enables those who want to take on more sophisticated challenges.
